Residence Collection – Made in the UK, installed by us
Our partner – Residence Collection is a UK based company that specialises in designing and manufacturing high end uPVC windows and doors. Whether you have a period property requiring timber alternative or a contemporary new build, there’s a range for you.
Residence 9 was created in 2011 to meet the key principles of conservation area guidelines for windows and as a timber alternative. With careful replication of 19th century designs, R9 offers sympathetic designs that complement your home’s heritage and style.
If you are looking for a more modern aesthetic, the R2 and R7 ranges are the ideal choice. From the fine lines of R7 to the chunky, square style of R2, you can achieve the perfect look for your home or project. This range is featured in barn conversions, thatched cottages, Victorian properties and modern state of the art contemporary buildings.
Available in double and triple glazing, these products perform exceptionally well and meet all current building regulations.
Beautifully Authentic Features
We chose to work with Residence because its products reflect the high standards of design, detailing and performance that our customers expect. From period homes and conservation-sensitive renovations to contemporary new builds, the collection offers a range of distinctive styles designed to complement different types of architecture.
Traditional timber windows were shaped by skilled craftspeople, with carefully considered proportions, joints and decorative details.
The Residence Collection combines modern manufacturing with a craftsman’s eye for detail. Flush frames, authentic jointing options, equal sightlines, traditional style window furniture and a wide selection of finishes help recreate the character of timber while providing the practical benefits of modern uPVC.
The result is a collection of windows and doors that can preserve the traditional appearance of a property without compromising on modern comfort and everyday usability.
Residence 9
The Traditional Timber Alternative
Residence 9, often known as R9, was developed to reflect the key principles, dimensions and detailing associated with traditional 19th-century timber windows.
Its elegant flush exterior and decorative interior make it particularly suitable for period homes, heritage-style properties and conservation-sensitive projects. A range of colours, woodgrain finishes, glazing options and traditional hardware helps create a window that feels appropriate to the individual building.
R9 combines its traditional appearance with modern thermal, acoustic, security and weather-resistant performance.
Residence 7
Flush, Refined and Versatile
Residence 7, or R7, has a sleek flush appearance on both the inside and outside.
Its refined proportions and balanced sightlines make it a versatile choice for traditional renovations, contemporary homes and new-build projects. It provides the character of a flush window with a cleaner, more understated finish.
A choice of colours, finishes, joint styles and hardware allows R7 to be adapted to the architectural character of the property.
Residence 2
Bold, Modern and Architectural
Residence 2, also known as R2 or Residence Squared, offers a more contemporary interpretation of the timber alternative window.
Its square internal detailing, clean lines and substantial appearance make it well suited to modern homes, architectural renovations, barn conversions and properties where a bolder frame design is preferred.
R2 provides a distinctive alternative to more traditional frame styles while retaining the premium finish and performance associated with The Residence Collection.
Residence Doors
Designed to Complement Your Windows
The Residence Collection also includes beautifully designed doors that can be coordinated with your chosen window range.
Residence doors combine a carefully considered appearance with modern security, thermal performance and durability.
Whether you are looking for a showstopping front door or an elegant set of french patio doors, all Residence Doors are secure, beautifully designed and made to last.
A broad choice of colours, glazing designs, finishes and hardware allows the doors to be styled for traditional, period inspired or contemporary properties.
Modern Comfort and Performance
The Residence Collection is designed to provide a high level of thermal and acoustic performance while retaining an authentic appearance.
Depending on the chosen system, glazing and complete window specification, Residence systems can achieve U-values of 1.2 W/m²K with double glazing, while lower values may be possible with triple glazing. We will advise you on the appropriate specification for your property and project requirements.
Double and triple-glazed options are available, subject to the selected range and configuration.
Planning and Conservation Considerations
Residence 9 was developed with traditional British architecture and conservation sensitive projects in mind. Its flush appearance, period inspired proportions and authentic design details can make it a suitable product to consider where maintaining the character of a building is especially important.
However, every property and planning authority is different. The use of a particular window system does not guarantee approval for a listed building or conservation area property.
Homeowners should always check local planning requirements before replacing their windows. We can provide product information and discuss potentially suitable options as part of the specification process.
Colours, Finishes and Hardware
The Residence Collection offers an extensive choice of colours and finishes, ranging from understated whites and creams to country inspired shades, natural wood effects and deeper contemporary tones.
Traditional and contemporary window furniture is also available, including monkey tail handles, finger pulls and coordinating door furniture.
We can help you compare the different combinations and select details that complement your property, interior and overall design.
Installed by an Approved Residence Installer
The quality of installation is just as important as the quality of the window.
As an approved registered Residence installer, we provide a complete service covering initial advice, product selection, surveying, ordering and professional installation.
We will help you understand the differences between R9, R7 and R2, explore suitable colours and hardware, and develop a specification that complements your home.
“Our experience with traditional timber windows helps us recognise the proportions and details that matter. This knowledge is invaluable when helping a customer choose a convincing uPVC timber alternative.”
